Questions

A tennis and padel ball pressurizer is a more advanced, reusable version of the containers in which new balls are purchased. It preserves and restores the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls by storing them under pressure. The pressure within the container increases the pressure inside the balls. In essence, it operates in the opposite manner to what occurs when the balls are exposed to 'normal' pressure.

Pressurebox is a reusable and designed to last for many years.

The most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players with high playing standards, is to buy new balls as usual, then put them in the box each time after play, which will allow you to play with much longer and increase ball quality, from the second hour of play and onwards. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as one or a few days.

However, you can also use Pressurebox to inflate leftover balls and completely avoid buying new ones. In this user case, it will usually take some days before the pressure is back in the balls, and the results will depend on the condition of the balls. It is recommended to use balls with some pressure from the beginning - which usually is the case even for leftover balls that usually can be found anywear in tennis clubs - since the inflation process with these balls will be faster and more reliable.

Pressurebox is easy to use. Here is how:

1. Remove the bottom lid and insert your balls after play.

2. Close the lid strongly to ensure that it is sealed airtight.

3. Press the main switch and leave it in the on-mode until the next time you play. Pressurebox will automatically build up and maintain the correct pressure.

4. Before opening Pressurebox again, shut off the main switch, press the deflate button on the lid. Open the lid, take out your pressurized balls, and enjoy!

Yes, the pressurebox is compatible with most standard tennis and padel balls. They are designed to be versatile and fit different brands and models.

While the longevity of tennis ball pressure depends on various factors such as playing style and ball quality, it's useful to provide a comparison. Without a Pressurebox, approximately 20% of the ball's pressure can be lost after just an hour of play, with further gradual decreases over time.

In contrast, when using high-quality tennis balls like Tretorn Series + with a Pressurebox, the playing experience remains close to that of new balls even after several matches. Even after ten times of play, the bounce height usually remains good.

It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and the balls may show some wear and tear after prolonged use, such as the logo becoming less visible. However, in most cases, the playing experience remains satisfactory even after extended use. For padel, the impact on ball felt is even less, leading to an even longer playing time."

  1. No manual pumping is required for the container each time.
  2. More importantly, the automatic sensor ensures consistent pressure in the container and allows the Pressurebox to add more air when the box's air pressure decreases, maintaining constant pressure. Why is this important? First, all pressure containers experience some leakage. Second, when placing used balls inside, they naturally reduce the air pressure within the container through diffusion. Due to both factors, new air must be pumped in to ensure that the container's air pressure always remains higher than that inside the balls. Without this, which is often the case with less advanced products, it simply doesn't work as effectively.

It is important to store your container in a clean and dry condition to extend its life.

By using our Pressurebox you can extend the life and performance of your tennis and padel balls. This will save you significant amounts of money on your ball consumption and reduce the waste of disposable balls, making it a more environmentally friendly solution.

Problem: The compressor restarts often.

Answer: If the compressor restarts frequently, the lid may not be sealed airtight, causing the compressor to compensate for the pressure loss by restarting often. Ensure that you close the lid strongly. If the issue persists, clean the threads and the lid. If the problem persists, consider applying lubricants to the inside of the lid.

Adjustment of the O-ring in the Lid: Start by removing the O-ring (the small rubber ring that sits around the edge of the lid) and turning it over. Don't forget to inspect the thread inside the lid for any dirt, plastic strips, ect, That could prevent a tight seal.

Water Test for Leaks: Place the bottom of the container (where the lid screws on) in a clear plastic bucket filled with water. Make sure that the unit is either in the process of drawing air in or already contains a reasonable amount of air. This will help us identify whether air is escaping from the side at the threading or perhaps through the deflate button/silicone plug at the bottom.

Motor Unit Check: The silicone cover may be a bit tight, but a firm grip should do the trick to get it off. Afterward, inspect the motor unit on top – it is attached with threading, just like the lid. If it feels loose, try to carefully tighten it by hand. We have seen before where a loose motor unit was the reason for air leakage.

Problem: Battery time is too short

Answer: The shorter battery life is likely due to an improper seal of the lid, as mentioned in the previous answer. This can cause the compressor to restart frequently, consuming more battery power. Make sure to close the lid strongly. If the problem persists, clean the threads and the lid. Applying lubricants to the inside of the lid may also help resolve the issue.

Problem: The balls gets too hard.
Answer: Since the pressure inside Pressurebox is higher than the internal pressure in tennis & padel balls, the balls can sometimes get too hard if they are in the box for long. However, this is an easy problem to solve. Just open the box some time before you play, and the balls will get softer, as long as they are not stored under pressure.

Problem: The balls are too soft.

Answer: If the balls used are too soft & old initially, it may take some time to restore the pressure. It is advisable to use balls with some pressure from the start and utilize the Pressurebox frequently in between each session to maintain optimal pressure.

Problem: It is hard to open the lid

Answer: If you are having trouble opening the lid, there are a few tricks that you can try. First, make sure that you have deflated the box. If you still can't open it, try using a towel, or ask someone strong to help you. For the next time, clean the inside of the lid and apply lubricants. If this does not work either, let us know, and we will help you out.
